Spandex City is a family-owned comic book retailer based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Our name is inspired by the superheroes who inhabit the pages on our shelves. Although comics and graphic novels span all genres--from action/adventure, fantasy, and drama to non-fiction texts--the superhero story offers something unique. It incorporates fantastic elements into a realistic world in a way that spurs our hope and imagination!
In addition to operating a traditional retail store, we also work with local schools and libraries to boost literacy through the use of graphic novels. We believe that children should read about their favorite characters, rather than watch them on TV!
We are not a mail-order or internet delivery business. We believe in providing the highest level of personalized customer service possible, and you just can't get that through a mail-order or website-based business.
