Spandex City is proud to host the Heroclix Supremacy League for Charlotte, NC.  This is the perfect league for players who can't make it to our regular weekly tournaments, but who still want to see how they stack up against the competition and win great prizes and bragging rights!  The goal of the Supremacy League is to "fight" your way into the center ring by beating other players and to hold the center postion for 3 consecutive challenges.

How does it work?  How do I win? The Supremacy League "scoreboard" consists of four concentric rings, with the innermost ring representing the "Supreme Heroclix Champion".  You challenge other players (in your own ring or in the ring above you) in order to advance towards the center.  Once you have grabbed the center spot, you need to successfully defend your position for 3 consecutive challenges, and you win the top prize!  However, if you LOSE a challenge while you are in the innermost ring, you are knocked all the way to the outermost ring!

What are the prizes? Lots of great stuff!  The top prize for this season is "Pestilence", one of the three "Horsemen of the Apocalypse" pieces that were previously convention exclusives.  These pieces are extremely difficult to obtain, and fetch anywhere from $75 - $100 EACH on ebay!  There will also be a "random-draw prize", the convention-exclusive Moonstone figure.  Everyone who enters the Supremacy League has a chance to win (more on that below).

When does Supremacy League happen at Spandex City?  Whenever you (and your opponent) want!  You can arrange any convenient day/time with your opponent to meet up at Spandex City for your match.  The only strictly prohibited times are during other Heroclix Tournaments.  Just check with the store ahead of time to check on table availability and book your playing time.  All matches must be played at Spandex City.  Once you have issued or accepted a challenge, you must resolve that challenge BEFORE you can participate in another challenge.

What does is cost to enter and play in the Supremacy League?  The fee for entering the League is a one-time charge of $20.00 (all taxes included).  You pay this fee only at the start of each season, and you will receive 1 sealed booster pack of "Galactic Guardians" (your starting roster).  You do not have to pay for additional challenges.  Your entry also gets you a "Moonstone Ticket" (a chance to win the Limited Edition "Moonstone" Convention Exclusive piece, which will be randomly awarded at the end of the season).  Whenever a new season starts, you can re-enter for only $15.00.

When does the Supremacy League Season start and end?  The league is ongoing, and it starts for you as soon as you enter and record your initial roster (you always start in the outer-most ring).  Challenge can begin once at least 6 players are registered. The season ends as soon as a player has successfully defended the center position for 3 consecutive matches, at which point prizes are awarded.  If the League Season ends within two weeks of your joining, your enrollment fee and League Roster will be rolled forward into the next season (although all players will be sent to the outermost ring).  Players who entered the League more than two weeks prior to its ending must re-enroll and establish a new starting roster.

What are the build rules for each match?  When you enter the League, you will make a 400-point team using ONLY the pieces from your "Galactic Guardians" booster pack.  All of the pieces from your booster (which must be opened in the store), will be recorded as being part of your "League Roster".  You can always re-work your force before each match, but you may only use pieces from your League Roster.  Each match is a 45-minute timed match. Map assignment is ALWAYS random.

How can I add pieces to my League Roster? At any time before a match (including your first match), you may (but are not required to) add the contents of 1 additional sealed booster pack (from any set in the store) to your League Roster for only $11.00 (all taxes included).  Yes, that is less expensive than buying a booster pack regularly, which is just one of the many benefits of being part of the League!  Your booster pack must be opened in the store in the presence of a store employee who will record the pieces as additions to your roster.  (If you lost your most recent match, you may add up to 2 booster packs for $11.00 each to your roster.)

Whom can I challenge to a match?  You can challenge anyone who is in the ring above you to a match.  If you win the match, you switch places in the Supremacy League map. If there is an empty position in the ring above you, you can challenge a player in your same ring instead.  The winner will then advance to the next ring.  If you challenge someone in the SAME RING, and you lose, you will drop down to the next ring!  You also cannot challenge the player that you most recently played (regardless of who won or who made the previous challenge).  That means that if you challenge the current leader and lose, you must first successfully defend your spot against a lower-ranked player before you re-challenge the leader (unless the leading player changes in the meantime).

What do I get for successfully defending against a lower-ranked player?  If you are challenged by a player in a lower ring (and you are not alreday in the center), and you successfully defend your position, you will receive an additional "Moonstone Ticket".  At the end of the season, there will be a random drawing of all "Moonstone" tickets for the Limited Edition "Moonstone" convention exclusive piece!

How often can I challenge and play matches?  You can only issue a challenge twice per week.  There is no limit to the number of matches per week where you are being challenged, however.

How do I issue a challenge?  You can issue a challenge in-person, via a message left at the store, or on our Facebook page.  (We cannot provide personal contact information of other players.) If your prospective opponent does not agree upon a match date with you that is within one week of the challenge, you automatically "win".

Isn't Wonder Woman supposed to be a Supremacy League prize?  Yes.  She will be the "random-draw prize" for the next Supremacy League season.
